Tritones and How to Play in Tritones

Tritones are usually, notes that are being held in 5 intervals of any key. . dont really know how to explain this since i learnt how to play by ear, but i will break it down this way:
LETS TAKE THE KEY C FOR EXAMPLE:
a tritone on the key of C would be E and A# check out the relationship between the keys E-f-f#-g-g#-a-A# you find out that the intervals between both notes comprising the tritones are 5 notes apart. . .  the same is applied to every other key or note that has to be played in its tritone FIVE NOTES APART..
