Prompt Engineering Manager
I used to lead teams, where I’d role play CTO or Engineering Manager.
or something like that
I would have a vision, I write it down in the most elegant manner using technical speak, flowcharts, diagrams, OpenAPI specs, C4, Gherkins
or something like that
I’d have a team, two, or more split across product functions or departments:
- Team A: Mobile
- Team B: API & Web
- Team C: Integration Experience, Partner Engagements
or something like that
And when I write that spec, when I document that vision. I’m willing to let go, so that these teams, the engineers and product people in there implement my specification to the most excellent representation that their ability can allow.
Sometimes, there will be mediocre developers, and designers or worse a mediocre team, and it never stopped me from getting the job done.
Now I have a mediocre group of Anthropic Claude or OpenAI Codex agents while I role play “Prompt” Engineering Manager
or something like that.
